Pouring Over...

Times when it pours over…

flooding emotions sometimes…

drizzling just a flicker of a thought…

Slanted thick annoying drops,
forcefully enter your home,
from inside an open window,
right into your life,
without consent…

Condensed cubes,
beating you up savagely,
for unknowingly loving
transparent waters at the 1st place,
trusting innocently
all the different skins
it can slip under…

or just those arrow straight
pinching piercing realizations…

P.S. Some ages are counted not by springs, but by raindrops-being-drenched-under…
P.P.S. I am probably more than a hundred years old…

Aloof... & (but?) Blessed...

Its not in stars to hold my destiny.
Its not in me to tell yours..
I forgo all if s and buts…
I forgo all worldly pleasures…

None of that matters…

Coz no, I’m not lucky… I believe, I am BLESSED…

Perspective...

She decided to protect the future from stagnant things...
Things which appeared to move in opposite direction…

So what if it was she, who moved on…
So what if she would be blamed for having the wrong perspective…

I hope not that you appreciate the plot of this story and say that it was brilliant. I just hope that you do a little introspection before you decide on letting the hateful hatred enter your lives.
So the tell tale of a little birdie…here goes…

There was this beautifully woven weaver bird nest, in the jogger’s park, in the middle of some city, bustling with life. And there lived a cute little birdie, Chirpy with her loving father and caring mom. Chirpy used to chirp on and on and sing beautiful songs of melody, in the morning for the wise elderly joggers who wake up early morning in brahma muhurat to watch the sun rise and shine above mother earth and in the evening for cute little kids who enjoyed a ride on various swings in the park. The old watchman of the park was also the supervising gardener and he loved and cared for the park like his very own home. So every flower was always smiling and grass remains always green. Dew drops in the morning bathe the park into freshness.
But since change is all that actually gives life its meaning and only bad times can make the good ones worth their goodness, there came a proposal to the city municipality to dismantle the Joggers Park setting to allow room for another residential society. Suddenly everyone was talking about it. Brave little creature as she was, she decided to face the situation head on. That same evening she asked her dad. “Papa, can I go search another tree for us until the order finalizes. I am big enough to fly long distances now.” Papa got all scared, but came off better of his doubts and allowed her to go. She’ll have to move out one day anyway…
So long she flew; to unknown distances…till winters came and started showing its effect in late evenings…she sat on a tree to relax a little bit… Of tiredness of flying so much first time in her life, she quickly fell asleep under the shade of that old shady banyan tree. The cool breeze caressed her like her mom’s loving touch and she dreamt of her home again, playing sun n shade with her friends... She was smiling in her dream. It was a peaceful slumber. She slowly opened her eyes and to her horror a group of huge beaks and gray bodies was staring on her. She got terrified and started fluttering her wings just-outta-sleep. And then she found herself in midst of darkness. It was Johnny, the vulture folding his wings around her. After 5 minutes of struggle with her little wings, she finally gave up. Johnny took her to his treehole.
“Make yourself comfortable” he said, and went out. After some time he came back with a leafcup of some brown liquid and some worms. “Here, have it, you look hungry and worn out. This will make you warm”. Chirpy was terrified of this huge creature and of course she was hungry. But there was no way she could accept that unknown stuff she was being offered. “I’m sorry I eat only grains that mummy brings and water from the park pond. Johnny smiled, “Okay! So what are you doing here?” Isnt it time for you to be home?” “I’m searching for a new tree for my family to migrate on. I took on the responsibility” Chirpy replied. “RESPONSIBIITY!!! You throw big words indeed”, Johnny ridiculed. “So you decided to search all by yourself in the big city. That’s SOMETHING for a tiny creature like you.” Anyways, I like your spirit. I can help you if you want. This tree I’ve my treehole on, you can build your nest here.  It’s slightly out of the town so city pollution doesn’t bother you. It has got many empty treeholes also and it’s cool and comfortable here. AND you never run out of food supply for they have the cremation ground nearby.
Chirpy of course hated him. God! A cremation ground! How can someone possibly put up with the stink!
So off she flew again to unknown distances to search for a place. But all the city trees were all occupied. Not a branch left for her family to weave their nests on. So, defeated and disgusted she flew back to Johnny’s tree. It was evening time and all the vultures were off to cremation ground for supper. Johnny was just bringing back food for dinner.
Watching Chirpy again, he felt a strange sense of happiness and relief. Ever since the little bird was gone he found himself worried for her well being. How will the little creature fight the cruel world. On the other hand Chirpy felt a vomiting sensation just looking at the blood stained piece of meat Johnny bought for dinner. Watching her discomfort, Johnny took the piece away.
Not having any other option, Chirpy decided in her mind to live on one of the treeholes for some time herself before deciding on a complete migration with family. “You are most welcome little one” Johnny greeted with a smile. And for that moment, Chirpy loved that smile of acceptance.
Night fell and all the vultures gathered at the widest trunk for dinner and the brown liquid Johnny bought for Chirpy the other day . Johnny introduced chirpy to his friends and they all greeted her nicely. But, the smell of flesh and the brown liquid was killing her. On another tree some bats were hung upside down. A stray dog was weeping at a distance. All this was horrific for the little bird. She excused herself and went off to Johnny’s place.
Poor thing, she tried to sleep but even sleep won’t come to her eyes today. She pondered over the horrific scene.
It’s a disgusting life. Feeding on dead creatures. And that brown liquid. It seems to have strange effect on these birds. They howl like idiots in the dead of the night. Jump like maniacs on branches. And hang upside down. Like they have no right minds at all. Nights are supposed to be slept peacefully and to dream of beautiful fairyland with cherries and toffees and chocolate rivers. These people suck…Eh! If I continue living with them, I’ll soon become one of them. Oh God, my throat is so dried up. No hope of finding water here. So she found courage to go out again. She flew around the tree for some time with no luck. Being too scared to go far away from the tree, she decided to seek little help from Chizzy, Johnny’s friend.
 “Can I get some water.”
“  Yeah sure. Lets go to my treehole and get some for you.”

Chizzy was a nice, good natured bird. One of those who treat their guests in silver cutlery. She lived alone in her treehole. She offered Chirpy the luxury of her well managed treehole to spend the night.
Chirpy felt comfortable with Chizzy in a strange sisterly way. Conversations started rolling.
“Chizzy, I’m so scared. And this tree is full of bad dirty vultures. When there is so much food grain to feed all of us, the why do you feed on dead people? It’s so disgusting. Why you guys choose this life? When there is a happier and easier way to have food and fun. You don’t have to do this. You seem nice. Come with me. With some effort we can find another tree near some farm in some village. I sure can’t live here and neither think a nice bird like you should get ruined in such a bad place.

Chizzy smiled and fluttered her wings… “Oh dear little one, I appreciate your concern for me.” But I pity your immaturity of judging things like this.
It’s not always a matter of being good or bad you know. It’s just a matter of choice and what comes to you naturally. Fun can mean different things to different people. Do you wonder why certain people do or don't do certain things? These questions will serve as your guide.  The way people think, feel, react, and behave also are depended upon life experiences. They feel different emotions because they have felt this emotional happiness or sadness before. They think what is right and what is wrong because they have learned from past experiences. They react to different things because they experienced things that please them and the things that displease them. They behave in certain ways because they want to design their way of living into what they have admired from other people's lives.
You were raised in a protective atmosphere, where your parent created a shell of well being around you. And I was raised on this tree where I had to feed on dying and decaying to keep myself alive. I don’t mind that anymore. Infact I enjoy being like this and take pride in saying that I cleanse up the system. Forgetting ourselves at nights with this hot drink help us survive with our tough life. It’s a part of vulture’s culture and is our idea of fun. Sorry but you are no one to judge us. It’s just our way of life and it’s no less good then your way. It’s just different. And different does not mean bad in any way. Rising up in different cultures affects the developments of behaviors, feelings, personalities, and thinking. Their attitudes toward things are created and shaped as they experience different situations and by the ideas which they have gotten from their culture.
Chirpy understood. Having nothing to say and feeling too bad for being so incorrectly judgmental and mean, she fought her fears and flew back to her home. Her inability to fit in doestnt makes the vultures bad in any way. They have a part to play in ecosystem which is just different from her part. She had learnt her lessons. She understood what little Chintu was reading out from “Learnings from Constitution” chapter of his Civics book the other day. “Respect For All” …

My(e)stique...

City lights blazing,
that Enormous charm...
Damp airs stroking, pulsating
Sentience lukewarm...

Clouds strolling & floating
lights throw back, reflect
Descending from heavens
deflections [Respect]...

Sleep deprived n weary,
Those eyes still exploring...
In want of these city lights
Sensations outpouring...

Its drizzling then raining,
wetting mountains and sands...
Waters seamless tie-making,
on these Mystique Islands...

P.S. Pune Rains and City Lights...Continue to splash charms...

Ultimately it’s Fun…

I am marveling at the speed and numbers in which (seemingly?) problematic situations can attack you and pin down your ever-so-awesome and ever-so-appreciated survival instincts…So much so that you wonder, what-the-heck-to-write-about and worst, where-to-start…that too, on a blog where you’ve comfortably displayed something as (seemingly?) complicated as your life in cryptic metaphors…

So back…is me, not yet completely recovered from the after-effects of one of those dreaded monsters listed in the brochure of every medical insurance policy…(The eyuk- yellow fever)…stricken with fuming rebellion for bureaucracy…and though the doctor suggested a cool atmosphere and cool eating habits, I’m still dwelling in the hot waves of egos inflated beyond logical explanations… (read health issues, cheating in an  important exam result for which the fight is still going on and flat-mate problems resp…)

Tastes bitter…not just the doctor-advised meals n medicines for jaundice, but also the realization that we live amidst a non-rational race of most, if not all homo-sapiens…People who were unfortunate enough not to be born with inbuilt balances where they could weight rights and wrongs separately and then take a right call…based on (righteousness? lets forget it) whatever but extreme selfishness and egocentricity…

Good news is...these realizations improve your immunity…you no longer fall prey to anger, which our sacred saints called the most awful enemy of mankind…but you pity those who are continuously striving towards making the planet such a horrible place to live in for themselves first, and then for others…

And one fine day you realize that your experiment with pitying has become fun…when the other person is fuming with anger you are simply rolling on floor laughing…when health issues consume you, you smile n say…"So finally I’ve done it! My managers are left with no more excuse to cancel my leaves…Cheers!!!"...And even when something as catastrophic as blasts and political gamble to the loss of entire country happens, you simply shrug your shoulders off n say…It happens, Shit happens...

P.S. My respect for Aamir khan has increased multifold, Satyamev Jayte truly superbly inspires…An awesome assignment…
P.P.S. Strange how many weird things can make you happy (Happy?)…

To Gala Merriments …

A very Happy New Year Guys... :-)

Hope you’ve all activated your Send/Receive buttons this festive season, enjoyed the Christmas Gifts and now planning ahead of time by making endless (read useless ;) :P ) resolutions at the commencement of the New Year…

I truly believe life is a very beautiful journey and all of us, in some way or the other strive towards accomplishing the herculean pursuit of happiness…Some of us choose to call ourselves losers and some others find solace in being contented…Howsoever we may sketch the outlines of our own lives, whatsoever be our limitations, whensoever we may actually succeed, and whomsoever it may/maynot concern…This New Year, lets atleast TRY to forget all our worries, atleast TRY living for the moment, atleast TRY to make our dear earth a better place to live, atleast TRY to love our country more than our own selfish interests, atleast TRY to sometimes understand the elder generations point of view, atleast TRY to make someone feel blessed to have us, atleast TRY to make our own existence on the planet worthwhile…lets Smile, Laugh and party incredibly hard… Cheers!!!

Summoned up…

Times when it becomes kinda obligatory for you to think that thoughtlessness is bliss and all those who’ve always been telling you smooth-roads-never-make-good-drivers are all fools… And then these rains, which fall outta heavens so straight and swift, directly on your head while you are thinking of a careless cup of hot coffee mixed with some cure of the sneezing cold...

So, the RAINS play some linkin park music on your head, wet your hair in dead cold and immediately reach those wayward nerves in your brain responsible for some weird neural activity which defies the soothing effect of normalized-day-to-day LIFE...act as catalyst to your already strained up mind… and then with those falling drops of greasy slimy age, you think you can feel the wetness of question marks all around you...drenching your very soul...

But then…in midst of all the confusion, the LOGICAL YOU rises up for all the answers and you begin to realize the complementary stuff rains bring with them… you suddenly start relishing the winds...mighty winds...That can blow away the rain clouds in whatever direction they fancy…mighty winds...that can twist and roll the direction of rains…super mighty winds, that can ultimately make you feel better about your wet hair, sweeping them nicely across…

You feel the breeze and drive faster and realize... the faster you go, more swiftly you pass and prevail the hateful traffic jam of neural traumatizations in midst of unhealthy rains…and faster you drive, the more you realize its making you learn driving better… and self control with increased proficiency……now you know there may come rains, however stormy, turbulent and seemingly unsettleable …nothing to worry, you’ve learned to drive safe and chances of a slip are odd... you finally start enjoying the music of the wind rather than the crashes of the lightening and the thunderstorm...

And then, you leave aside all the anxiety and drive faster to reach the balcony breeze, while you sit there all dry, with hot coffee and the blissful peace...warming your soul off the odd effects of rains…

Get-Goings...

I don’t mean the title literally…I’m extremely pissed off and sad and drowned deep into emotions/nostalgia… It’s only my “be-positive” dreamy self who has typed in those words…

They say you do not have your control on anything…Its all written…They also say Life Goes On…Move On...and that Reflections have no significance, they’re just shadows...
But I really doubt whether people who say such things actually ever confronted such situations as farewell, did they ever stored something as sweet as moments in their programmed memory chips… do they even realize that there are some people who make your so-called-pre-written fate and tough times easy going for you, who make you cherish the innocent laughter followed by those stupid jokes cracked on unbearable sarcasms of your life, who don’t even care to take your opinion on their oh-so-honest!!! attempts to make you smile even if it results in pissing you off even more…Do they know that after your life goes on without them and you move on, those reflections can haunt you and those shadows can cast darkness when you’ll start running towards mirage of success and achievements all alone…

I give a second thought to all the nonsense I’ve written above and feel extremely stupid and CHILDISH… Of course you need to move on…You can have a fun-filled adventurous journey only when you know more roads and meet more people and that’s only when you explore more…That’s what everyone should do…That’s what I do…Rock Ahead Guys!!! Smiles :)

P.S: All that “They-say” is what I always counsel people who fall sick to nostalgia….eyuk!!!...But all that “I-really-doubt” is what I’m feeling somehow, since last two days…

Swalpa Adjust Maadi…

The Bus was jam-packed…and so was my mind, with pure hatred…I can’t stand my life anymore here…failure is breaking me down, politics is pulling me back, homesickness has become excruciating, DAMN this city, DAMN these people…Replay of “Into The Wild” ran through these gloomy thoughts and I felt like running away…far into the jungles…”Society…You are a crazy breed!!! “

And then some complex equation coming out of the confusion decided the number of the next bus I’ll take…to Innovative Film City…But that was far away and I had about an hour to my disposal, that too in an uncomfortably crowded bus…Just than an old lady boarded the bus and said “Swalpa Adjust Madi Ma”(Adjust a little)…I squeezed myself further in…So I though even air cant enter the bus now, and I still found the place, lolz…We Indian have a real passion about cooperation when it comes to adjustment…Buses are the best examples…just try to board any state transport bus and you’ll know what I mean…(I wanna check out the mumbai local train next)...
I scanned the old lady, a typical south-ee… grey hair, lot of sindur, small bindi, long tika, mouth red with betel juice, orange white flowers, and a south silk cotton saari…And just then two more aunties entered, with two kids…The old lady stepped back, to give the new comers room…and then requested me again…swalpa adjust maadi ma!!! I could not…so I only pretended to move but they still found their place again...Clearly there was no answer to How’s here…only How I’s finding difficult to answer was…How the hell poor driver is driving and HOW the conductor is giving tickets to passengers…And just when I’s lost in these thoughts, a TC appeared from nowhere and started checking the tickets…Till my turn I can tell, there was no defaulter...I’s impressed…Really…

Pretty small incident people, just daily life…But left me wondering why we refuse to adjust in life while there still remains a lot of room…while we can really cope with situation, why do we complain like- enough is enough and I can’t stand anymore…Why do we crib for friends when we are all alone and cry for some time for ourselves when we are surrounded with group of people we call our friends…What’s that makes us always dissatisfied with everything no matter how fortunate we really are to have it…Why can’t we fiddle a bit with the situations to craft happiness for ourselves…it’s not such a great price anyway… I can see an Accord in the traffic in front of me immediately after writing these lines…They have written “Happiness Reloaded” on the back glass…

P.S. Had a great time today…Really…its fun to have a date with yourself sometimes…

Lets Uncomplicate

With blessed fortune of the sky
And these teeny tiny dots,
Far from cruel glare of the sun,
Where the poor minds rot…

Dreamy neurons of my brain,
Getting ready for a fight,
Winning over in my thoughts
On the ones "so-called" bright…

All adamant “Why-Can’t-s”
Suddenly rising their heads
All fearful “What-If-s”
Dormant, as if dead…

……………………………………………………….

Can be faked but can’t be mended
Relations getting sour,
Jealousy and Jeopardy,
Moving through the back door…

All see the times getting worse
But there’s no one to blame
There can only be one
At the top of the game…

What’s driving these waves
Of trusts being betrayed
On the verge of abyss
Like a nightmare replayed…

……………………………………….

Policies of rights and wrongs,
Let’s end this judgmental torrent
Let’s drive a less known road
Let’s be a bit ignorant…

This want of bright warm sunlight,
Let’s just leave it to the fate,
Bathe in tiny drops of light,
LET’S UNCOMPLICATE!!!

P.S. Somehow, I like the idea of being positive these days... :)

My Sunglasses...

The hour of the day is night, and I’m still thinking about sunlight… sharp, focused sunlight…sometime blessing you with coveted coziness in winters and sometimes sweating the hell out of you in summers.

And since all stupid relations between absolutely unrelated things have got a license to come into my thoughts, I’m now thinking about the relation between intensity of sun rays, the sunglasses and how things work in the drama called LIFE!!!

So, all of us have sunglasses, of different shapes and shades, meeting the needs of all sorts of sun-rays… Sharp, bright, blinding or hot… And we wear them to see the world according to what we want to see rather than what the reality is…

Sunglasses teach us to live in a world of hallucinations where filtered sun rays give a soothing effect to eyes, even when they are scorching the rest of the world into blindness…

They help us hide our inflated egos behind them when we know it may burn the thin thread we share with people around us with so much effort …

They help us protect our own self respect from the harmful UV rays of others egos, by providing us with a shield of ignorance…

They help us build pretensions with respect to our repute at workplace, friend circle and relatives, by creating a mirage of self satisfaction, even when the bitter sunlight outside the scope of poor sunglasses is shouting of back-bitching, hatred and jealousy…

They come in all nice colors and hues to make us feel better about ourselves and to make us religiously believe how beautiful a place the world is, and how lucky we are to get a LIFE in it…

I truly truly believe in dramatics. And I’ve already given sufficient evidence to indicate that we can preen our way across the stage of life, with a pair of good sunglasses, clean and happy!!!

P.S: I learnt sometime in school that man hates sunlight and loves moonlight because the former gives a clearer picture of the world around him, while the latter hides a lot under its soothing shade…

P.P.S : I Love my Shades…

I, Me with Myself...

On a beautiful star studded night, I raised my face heavenwards and closed my eyes...quite,calm,cool winds which, kind of symbolize Bangalore's awesome weather were breezing through my face making me completely lost in myself... :)

And then, as is evident, as a kind of reflex action, I started thinking...about those 5 months of slumber, about my journey from Gurgaon to Bangalore...about the sudden discoveries of sooo many facts about the human-cosmos that they kind-of bombarded my small confused mind...about all good and bad things Banglore has taught me in past one month...I'm suddenly finding myself wary of what was behind me and what lay ahead...The sense of revival is exciting and yet so frightening...But bravo! its still inspiring belief...even after I flunked in first two exams at Accenture...lolz...
One month after this much awaited journey, I'm actually finding my spirits rising again from where they had been moribound for too long, may be because of too much of homesickness...and I again find myself searching for my niche here in this all-so-strange land...

With all these good thoughts, I opened my eyes, determined to keep aside all the hate I've developed for Bangalore n South India in past one month...believing that the question of belongingness( to north/south india) will soon fade away when I'll start believing in my own adroitness of believing in all beautiful things...to wherever they belong to...

P.S: Someone was expecting something on "New girl in the city" or "Life in Bangalore"???

Somethings that matter...

Some doggedly settled fogs refuse to vanish,
Some drowsy dreams refuse to perish.

Some awaited springs now disoblige,
Some winter winds condole this plight.

Some clocks forget their tick-tock-tick's,
Some lamps still burn with exhausted wicks.

Some booms and dooms sound all the same,
Some barren lands have none to blame.

Some fissures of earth still wait for rains,
Some adamant wills still fight these pains.

Some morose tempers find their stay,
Some stubborn hopes still fight dismay...

P.S: Some author of Some book I read Sometime said- " End...when it comes, remains the only solution possible"...
I guess...it also remains the best solution possible...

Oasis

I’m not reporting from there…I’m searching for it, the oasis…In fact; we are all searching for it… (me and my friend…”many-of-my-classmates” to be precise)…while traveling through innumerable mirages….n since it sounds so difficult, it’s actually coming out to be really difficult…
Time is counting down and we, exhausted creatures, are still searching, while there’s no visible result and seemingly…no escape...
Questions are haunting us and we go absolutely aghast at the very notion of facing them (How is life going? What are you doing these days? Got the call? But they’ve started the process, haven’t they? But you must plan an option…) while we know the inescapable answers…
Intuitions of our own fate have failed us and our monopoly on our own lives is slipping away rapidly from our very hands…
Even the cause and effect relationship is loosing its universal appeal, leaving us pondering over no visible cause of somewhat catastrophic effect (EXAGGERATIONS…I know)…
The future aspects are not even walking lamely towards some goal, but are floating blindly….as even walking needs a solid ground!

WHY’s are screeching through silences and WHAT’s visit occasionally, that too, packed safely inside doubtful struggles… HOW-THE-HELL’s have lost their grasp on reality and for TILL-WHEN, nobody is in a position to give even a snobbish answer…
That’s how things are going…

But still, we are searching…for an OASIS… with undimmed hopes and seemingly unstoppable will…to smile, to laugh out loud enough for us to listen atleast…with a belief…that we’ll find the OASIS someday, against all odds…
God Bless!

These clouds will soon roll by

You try and try with all your will...
Still, You must permit some blood to spill...

There's a life all alone inside the dust storm
There's life trying to erode all barriers
There's a life trying to search its own bumped-off zeal
while struggling to pay its own arrears

There's a land where hopes visit only as clouds
There's a land on despairs curvature
There's a land where dejection lurks as ghosts
n faith rottens as old furniture

There's a soul having no time to dream
just wondering how to fight
There's soul struggling for mere existence
ignoring how its right

There's a flower mourning its crushed up tuft
n cries n waves to beautiful springs
There's a flower leaving its charm n grace
surviving over the brink

(But...{thankfully, there's always a BUT :-) })

There's a monk who says there'll be dawn
dont panic, dont fear, dont cry,
There's a monk who smiles at this crisis of life
"These clouds will soon roll by"

P.S : It was painful...really...searching for a ray of smile on the very beautiful face of "the laughing beauty"...
